Deciding to divorce is a big step. One that you have probably been thinking about for quite some time.  You’re in one of two boats: You’ve either already made the decision to divorce or you’re still on the fence.  Either way, you want to make sure you get it right.

If you’re still on the fence, you know there are significant issues in the marriage but there’s something holding you back from moving forward.  You’ve invested a lot of yourself in this relationship and you don’t know if it’s time to throw in the towel but also know things can’t stay the same.

If you have already made the decision to divorce, you’re concerned with getting it right in the process.  And you don’t know exactly how to do that. You’re used to getting things done, but when it comes to divorce, you’re lacking confidence and knowledge about how to best tackle this transition and the unfamiliar legal process.  You may not have done this before, and you don’t know where to start. There are a thousand questions swirling around in your mind and you’re getting overwhelmed with the scope of the uncertainty that lies ahead.

"Divorce is a plot twist – not the end of your story. It can be a life-changing opportunity to grow, evolve, rediscover your values, reconnect with your soul, revive your spirit, and come out ahead in ways you never thought possible."

If you’re looking for a professional divorce coach that can help you understand your next steps and create a smart plan of action, you're in the right place.

If you are at the early stages of your divorce and want to approach your divorce with confidence while minimizing its impact on you, your family, and your wallet, we should connect.

Where Are You in The Process?

What is Divorce Coaching?

Not familiar with what a divorce coach does?

Divorce coaching is a recognized dispute resolution process recognized by The American Bar Association and the Association for Conflict Resolution, which define it as:

“Divorce coaching is a flexible, goal-oriented process designed to support, motivate, and guide people going through divorce to help them make the best possible decisions for their future, based on their interests, needs and concerns.”

Divorce coaching fills a gap between the services provided by an attorney and those provided by a therapist.  We wish we would have had this kind of support when going through our own divorces.

When you’re going through a divorce, you need compassionate, knowledgeable, and non-judgmental support in navigating the business of divorce, the lived experience of divorce, and moving on from divorce, which a divorce coach is specially trained to address.

Can you get through divorce without the compassionate, strategic guidance of a professional divorce coach?  Of course, but why would you want to?  The amount and quality of support people receive during the divorce process directly correlates to the quality of their life post-divorce.

You deserve to start prioritizing your needs and investing in your well-being as you navigate this significant life event.

As early in the process as possible! Although a divorce coach can help you at any stage in the process, the best time to begin working with a divorce coach is when you’re contemplating divorce or have already decided to divorce but do not know what to do next.

Absolutely!  We work with clients who have attorneys and clients who do not.  One of the benefits to having a coach while you have an attorney is that the coach can help you to use your attorney as efficiently and strategically as possible so you can spend your money on legal fees wisely.

No, a divorce coach or a mediator does not provide legal advice but can provide education whenever possible.  In addition, because of our backgrounds as lawyers, we know how to help you efficiently identify issues you may want to obtain legal advice about from your lawyer, if you choose to hire one, which allows you to use your attorney more cost-effectively.  If you want to combine coaching with legal advice, visit https://www.faircadora.com to request a consultation.
